When I had lunch, the oldest child asked me, “Can you play with me when you finish your lunch?” many times. It’s totally different from the beginning of this week.A new baby is coming, and new people who is living together for a few months (me), I think she has a lot of things going on in her life, such as changes in her environment and emotions. In the afternoon, the children helped by making fish fingers and fish and chips using the fish their dad had caught. The two-year-old brother was in charge of flour, their dad was in charge of coating the dough in eggs, and the four-year-old sister was in charge of breadcrumbs. The younger brother was also putting it in the bowl with the beaten eggs, and when the 4-year-old saw that, she said, “I want to try that too,” and the 2-year-old immediately replied, “Mine!!” It was cute, and he was so eager. We had both for dinner, and they were delicious. They were some of the best things I’ve ever eaten. I’m so happy.
お昼を食べていると上の子が「ご飯食べ終わったら一緒に遊んでくれない？」と何度も尋ねてきた。今週頭のことを思うとだいぶ違う様子。赤ちゃんも生まれて、違う国から数ヶ月間一緒に住む人（私）が来て、環境の変化、心情の変化、彼女なりに色々あったのだと思う。午後はパパが釣った魚で、フィッシュフィンガーとフィッシュアンドチップスを作ると言うことで、子どもたちもお手伝いしていた。粉打ちを2歳の弟くん、卵につけるのはパパ、パン粉は4歳のお姉ちゃんが担当していた。粉打ちをしてとき卵が入ったボウルに入れるのも弟がしていて、それをみた4歳が「私もやりたい」というと2歳児がすかさず「mine！！」と必死で可愛かった。ディナーでどっちも食べたけど本当に美味しかった。今まで食べたもので一番くらいに。幸せだ。
