I had interview with the family who sent me a message yesterday.I was nervous, worried about whether I could communicate well and tell them things I want. We started by introducing ourselves and discussing our requirements and current situations. I explained why my current au pair position would end in two months and that if I were accepted, I would prioritize communication with them. They spoke English at a native level, but perhaps because it was their second language, they listened kindly and tried to understand me, saying, “It’s okay. Take your time.” Above all, the conditions were just too good for me, and the family seemed friendly and shared similar hobbies. I felt like it was fate. Things were going so well, so my family and I discussed that, but they will accept me as a demi pair. I was worried about suddenly losing my home and job, but I was relieved to find a new house. All that was left was finding temporary accommodation for the time being and a second job. As I had hoped, good things came after bad times!
昨日メッセージきたファミリーと面談。うまく話せるかなとか伝えたいこと伝わるかなとか不安ばかりで緊張した。自己紹介から始まり、お互いの求める条件とか今の状況を話し合った。今のオーペアが２ヶ月で終わる理由も話して、もし受け入れてもらえることになったらコミュニケーションを大切にしたいということも伝えた。相手はネイティブ並みに英語ができる方たちだったけど、多分第二言語であるからか、自分が英語に詰まってしまった時も「it’s okay.take your time」と優しく一生懸命聞いて、理解しようとしてくれた。何より自分にとって条件が良すぎるし、フレンドリーで趣味とかも合うファミリーそうで運命なのかとも思った。あまりに事がうまく進みすぎて、自分の家族とも会議するくらい少し疑いも持ちながら話を進めていったけど、無事受け入れてもらえることになった！突然家と仕事を失うことになって不安しかなかったけど、とりあえず家については一安心。あとは間の期間のアコモデーションと掛け持ちの仕事探し。信じた通り、よくないことの後にはいいことが起きた！
