Today was the day of my trial at the sushi restaurant I finally got. It was my first time doing a work trial in Australia, so I was incredibly nervous. I said, ” I came here on trial.” I immediately start to work, making sushi and washing dishes. By sushi, it means rolled sushi. It might be easy once you get used to it, but I thought it would be a challenge to speed things up until then. Finally, I had something like an interview. Even though my workplace is still relatively close, the job starts at 6 AM, so there are no buses, and even if I could get there by bicycle, it would be difficult during the rainy season. I was told I’d be notified if I passed, but honestly, it seems like it would be difficult. After that, I went back to work as a demi-pair. Today, I cleaned all the rooms in my house. It took a long time and was quite difficult. I felt like a cleaner. lol After that, I handed out resumes at a nearby shopping center. This was also a first for me, so I was nervous. I first went to a place I wanted to work at, bought some sushi, and then said, “Actually, I’m looking for a job. Is there a manager today?” But they turned me down, saying, “We’re not hiring right now. We’re full,” and they wouldn’t even accept my resume. It was quite a shock, even though it was my first time, and it really took a toll on my mental health. I tried my best to hand two more. I don’t feel like I’ve made any progress. Is finding a job in Australia really that hard?
