I met up with a friend I met in Melbourne for the first time in two years.I had to work in the afternoon, so we had planned to meet for a very short time, but my host family was at the hospital today and had nothing to do, so I ended up having the day off and was able to spend time together without worrying about time. We went to the cafe and talked a lot. She is from South Korea, but she can speak Japanese well, so it’s strange that she says “hisashiburi~” from the moment we meet. I’m surprised that she can speak Japanese so well every time. I never thought we’d meet again in Perth like this. After going home, I watched the Japanese Koshien tournament. I was so happy that my local high school won in a close match. I’m so proud of them. I hope they do their best and aim for victory.
My host father went home and said, “Baby is coming last night! She and baby are all good!” when I was in the living room.I finally understand a little bit about the situation. I tried not to contact them too much because I knew the family was spending important time, but deep down, I was worried and didn’t know what to do. But I’m so glad that both mother and baby seem to be safe. I’m going to be tough looking after three kids from next week, but I’ll do my best because I don’t think I’ll ever have such a valuable experience again.
今日はメルボルンで出会った友達と２年ぶりに会った。元々私が午後から仕事だったから本当に短い時間しか会えない予定だったけどホストファミリーが今日も不在でやることがなく休みになってしまったので時間を気にせず過ごすことができた。カフェに行って、いろんな話を久しぶりにできて嬉しかった。彼女は韓国出身だけど日本語が話せて、会った瞬間から「久しぶり〜」と言うので不思議な感じだし日本語がこんなにも話せるのがすごいなと毎回会うたびに思う。笑 こうしてパースでまた再会できるなんて思ってもいなかったから、すごい縁だなと思う。帰ってからは日本の甲子園を見た。地元の高校が接戦で勝って嬉しかった。誇りだなあ。優勝目指して頑張ってほしい。
夜リビングにいたらパパが帰ってきて、赤ちゃん昨日の夜にうまれたと報告が！ やっと状況が少しだけわかった。ファミリーも大切な時間を過ごしてるはずだからあまり連絡しないようにしてたけど、内心は不安だったしどうすればいいのかわからなかった。けど母子ともに無事みたいで本当によかった。来週から3人の子どもたちをみるのは絶対大変だけど、こんなに貴重な経験は2度とないと思うから頑張ろう。
